Some Highlights

HI Friends. It's been a LONG while since I updated anything on this blog. Sorry:( Life at camp just seems to always be soooo busy and full of things. BUT I now have some pictures on my computer from our first session which went really well, and I want to share them with you.

This second session is a bit more intense, with more "high-needs" and more tired staff, but all in all, it is looking to be another good session with fantastic leaders and kids. It's hard to believe that we're already on Day 6 of my last session of girls camp...the summer has flown past! I'm still unsure of what my role will be in August, but I'm certain I will be put to use somewhere on this island.
I'm looking forward to reconnecting with all my other friends and other life when I get back to Brandon at the end of August...keep me in touch with what's going on in your life. Sorry I've been negligent on returning letters to those that have sent things to me...after girls camp is done I will have more time, I promise!
Blessings on you all!

Girls ONE

HI All. I thought I'd share a brief update about life out here at camp. It's hard to believe, but we're already at the end of Day 4 for our first session of girls camp (there are 2). We have 46 girls out here for 12 days and they are all amazing!!! I remember why I love camp so much. They are the sweetest little ones this session. We have a classic junior camp with 7-10 year olds so they're really easy to get excited about the smallest things which makes it a lot of fun to do crazy things. For example, tonight was 'S' night. So we told the girls to wear as many things as they could think of that started with the letter S. I wore: Sandals, a skirt, a shirt with the letter S in tape on the front, star shaped sunglasses, and a scarf! The girls got right into it. IT just happened to be a night where the kitchen was also serving Sloppy joes and Salad. Needless to say, small things entertain children. The sound of laughter and fun fills the island and it's great! We're staying busy but no real issues are coming up so that's a true blessing.

That's a small look at what's happening in my life. stay tuned for pictures hopefully soon:)
