Girls camp has been my focus for the last couple of weeks. It is coming together pretty well. My staff is working out (not that i doubted that it would) and leadership people are filling in where is needed. There are couple of holes left, but I am confident that God has a plan for who to place there, and I'm just waiting to see how it will work together.
My biggest 'concern' if you will, is that we have really low numbers for both of our camps. So, if you are praying for these camps, and my work out here, I would ask that we would have more girls register for both of my camps. Or, if you know someone in your life that would want to come out to camp this summer---get them signed up!
Life out on the island is pretty busy these days. We have school groups out here for the next 3 weeks constantly. Even on weekends, so people are gonna be pretty tired. This afternoon I just helped host our Open house for any families that have kids coming out to the island this summer. I had a lot of fun hanging out with the kids and their families, but I remembered how tiring it is to be with kids all the time and to be constantly organizing them. It's going to be a fun season though.
So that's what's up in my life. I have a couple more weeks to get things together for girls camp, and then I will be leading a 5 day canoe trip for a school that is coming out to camp. Then it's a quick trip into Brandon to celebrate my brother's high school graduation and back out for the beginning of summer season!
